Big Game Hunters Café Shop Wooden Playhouse- A Review

It’s hard to believe that when Jacob had his first ever playhouse, he was only 1! Look how little he was HERE. This beautiful playhouse still stands proudly in my parent’s garden. We lived in the flat without a garden when Jacob was little, which meant that the playhouse had to stay at my parents’ house.

For Jacob’s 3rd birthday, Big Game Hunters has kindly sent us a Café Shop Playhouse! Jacob loves role play and he particularly loves playing cooking and restaurants.

Our garden is pretty small but the Café Shop Playhouse has a modest footprint of 112cm x 93cm x 137cm. It has a door at the back and shelves around the front and the sides. It fitted our garden space really well.

It was really easy to put together. It requires 2 people to assemble but Graham managed most of it on his own. The instructions were very clear and all the pieces were clearly labelled. Everything came in one box (and if you buy the floor, it comes in another box) and all these pieces fitted very well together.

The café is made out of fir wood and it has a very lovely smell to it! It has a natural finish so you can decorate it with paint to really put your own personality into it. The hardest part about all this is probably choosing the paint colour!

I painted the cafe with Cuprinol fence paint and I also added a felt roof to it. It’s not necessary of course, but I had some spare and thought, why not! We added the floor and painted that as well. The floor is perfect for us as we had the cafe on grass, it makes a comfortable platform to stand and play on.

There are also chalked panels around the cafe which is great for little ones to write or draw on, as well as displaying the specials on!

Needless to say, both the boys are in love with the café shop and I have since had many cups of pretend tea!! For £135, you are getting such a wonder and well-made product that is built to last. This is going to unlock imaginations and build precious memories!
