Mountain Buggy Nano Duo- A Review

When we found out we were pregnant with Caleb, we were very excited but at the same time apprehensive.

We knew that having 2 under the age of 2 was not going to be easy and we would have to make a lot of changes in our lives to accommodate an extra person in our family.

I dreaded the idea of a double pram but I knew I would need one. With an age gap of 21 months, I knew that a double pram would be essential, especially for long days out.

I toyed with the idea of just using a baby carrier or the little one and putting Jacob in the pram. But this meant I would not be able to put the baby down at if I was out by myself!

As a family, we like to stay active and explore. This can be in the form of travelling, day trips or simply a walk in the park. I needed a double pram that can fit all of those situations. I also have a small car and my boot is not the most spacious. A regular double pram would take up too much room in the boot and it would make it very hard if we were to go on staycations.

With Jacob, we started using a travel stroller from when he was only 4 months old. We love travel strollers as they are more compact when folded and extremely light. There are a few travel double strollers available in the market but most of them are not compatible for use with a newborn or with a car seat.

MOUNTAIN BUGGY NANO DUO

In my search for the perfect solution, I came across the Mountain Buggy Nano Duo and it fits the bill!!

·  Compact when folded- will fit easily in my boot with plenty of space left over

·  Lightweight- being only 9kg, it’s very easy to take on holiday with us

·  Suitable from birth- with a cosy cocoon or car seat with adaptors

·  Narrow for a side-by-side- considering it is a side-by-side stroller, it is relatively narrow at just 73cm. It will fit through most doorways

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 9kg / 20lbs
  • Unfolded dimensions (H x W x D): 100 x 73 x 84cm / 39.3 x 28.7 x 33″
  • Folded dimensions (H x W x D): 51.5 x 73 x 28cm / 20 x 28.7 x 11″
  • Age range
    • newborn – 3 years (with cocoon)
    • 6 months – 3 years (without cocoon)
  • Maximum load – 15kg / 33lbs per seat

I just love the fact that it is suitable from birth with the use of the Cocoon. The Cocoon clips on and off the stroller easily, allowing for a lie flat position in the stroller. It can also be used on its own! Meaning you can transfer a sleeping baby in and out of the stroller without having to wake them!

SIDE-BY-SIDE

When Caleb was older enough, he graduated from his Cocoon into his big boy seat. Our boys were able to travel around side-by-side. This is really cute because they are able to interact when they are in the stroller!

WHAT WE LOVE

·         It is lightweight and has a compact fold, perfect for our small car

·         Great for travelling as well as everyday use

·         A range of accessories available which expands the function of the stroller

·         Really easy and comfortable to push with its built-in rear wheel suspension

·         Large storage basket, because let’s face it, us mums bring the kitchen sink with us when we are out and about!

FINAL THOUGTHS

We have really enjoyed using the Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It fits so well into our lifestyle and we can’t wait to do some travelling with it. Our boys love being side-by-side and close to each other when they are in the stroller.

I highly recommend this versatile and compact stroller to anyone with twins or children of similar age. It is well made and the design is well thought out, a really useful bit of kit for parents struggling with storage in the house and in the car.
